Oasis is a organizing program of New Georgia Project.

OASIS

OASIS (Our Aging Seniors in Society) is NGP’s campaign to help elevate the voices of our elders. There is so much history in our seniors and we want to make sure their stories are heard and celebrated. In this process we strive to build a relationship within the senior community centers, collect stories, register seniors to vote, and provide information on every upcoming election.

Some of our goals include, but are not limited to:

  • Recognize and elevate our seniors

  • Identify elder needs within the community, provide direct assistance, seek partners to strengthen the resources available

  • Register elders to vote

  • Advocate for their right to participate in every election

  • Fight to create policies that are beneficial as they age gracefully in society

  • Merge the generational gap between elders, head of household, young adults, and children

  • Rides to the Polls
