NGP June Events

Get ready to celebrate Juneteenth with NGP! Our mission is to build power with the New Georgia Majority – Black, Brown, and young Georgians – so we ALL can enjoy more freedom and equity in our communities. On June 19, 1865, enslaved Black people in the U.S. learned of their freedom from bondage. Juneteenth is a celebration of this freedom and our ability to create our own legacy. We have plenty of events to celebrate Juneteenth this month, be sure to sign up and share with your community today!

VR Day of Action

  • Location: Ora Lee West, Hudson Dockett and the South Street care home 
  • Time: 9am – 2 pm 
  • Action: Providing food and general supplies to our communities.  
June 20

Lift Every Voice

  • Location: TBD
  • Time: 6pm – 9pm  
  • Action: Bringing our faith-based communities together with music, food and fellowship.

NGP 3-on3 Basketball Tournaments 

  • Location: Saunders Park 
  • Time: 4pm – 8 pm 
  • Action: Invite all youth in the community to come to play some basketball! You can sign up for a team at [RSVP Info] and have a fun night filled with sportsmanship and prizes!

Juneteenth Block Party

  • Location: Vallotton Park 
  • Time: 12pm – 9 pm  
  • Action: Community party with family fun activities, food, and voter registration!
