December 2023 Election Dates

How to Know if You’re Eligible to Vote for an Election –

  1. Municipal elections are only for those who reside within the city limits of a given municipality. Your address may say “Decatur,” for example, but you may not reside within the city limits of Decatur. You may know this based on who provides services such as garbage pickup, but if you are unsure, you can check your district information at https://mvp.sos.ga.gov
  2. Some elections are city-wide while others are only for specific districts within the city. Mayors are elected by all of those living within the city while typically city council are only elected by those in a specific district (or post). You can confirm your districts at your city website or via https://mvp.sos.ga.gov
