Why do you to this work?
Because it is necessary.
How has this work changed you?
has taught me to be unapologetic about my pursuit for power for the people. Power is the ability to get things done. The people of Georgia deserve wins, not rhetoric.
If you could have dinner with anyone dead or alive, who would it be and why?
I would have a dinner party with James Baldwin, my maternal grandfather (who brought the Lutheran church to Nigeria), and Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, the former president of Libera (she was the first female elected head of state in Africa who started as the hope of the people, and ended on forms of corruption.) Each of these individuals are very passionate about the kind of work NGP does. As the dinner went on and the wine flowed, the voices would raise and it would be awesome, hilarious, and thought provoking. Also, I would learn a lot.
